Socket for Navilock GPS

The Navilock serial GPS mice have a Mini DIN 6 connector:

1 GND
2 +5V
3 RxD LVTTL
4 RxD RS232
5 TxD RS232
6 TxD LVTTL

It is possible to sqeeze the Mini DIN 6 connector next to the power connector. Ground, +5V, LVTTL TxD and RxD can be simply wired to the DECT connector. The GPS mouse sends standard NMEA data packets. It works fine with navit using source="file://dev/ttySA1" in the navit.xml file.

As I had it open, I added a SD/MMC card socket as well. And the accu cells were recycled from a notebook pack which had a single cell failure. They fit only just.

Nice one :) can you please add some photos of the mod? Did you build navit from .dev or .stable branch with or without any patches?

thanks mr nice

Navit was build from the .dev navit-0.0.4.bb-file simply copied into the .stable branch directory. A svn build would be nice but this did not work. Sound would be nice.

Cheers, Torsten
